This rare scarf is by Dimitri Rybaltchenko.Buddhist pilgrims, armed with prayer wheels depicted in the four corners, walk in a circle in quiet contemplation around a stupa, a sacred monument used by Buddhists as a place of meditation. The circle, without beginning or end, commonly represents unity, wholeness, and infinity. 
Dimitri Rybaltchenko comes of from a family of great artists, who have all played a major role in thei Hermès Carré.  Dimitri, the son of Vladimir Rybaltchenko, who was the great-nephew of Philippe Ledoux.
